Sunday June 28th we will begin gathering together again. We’re grateful for technology that has allowed us to be connected in this pandemic season. We will continue to offer video of worship and teaching for those in our congregation who are at elevated health risk associated with COVID-19.
The church is much more than connection. God’s people were meant to be present with one another from the very beginning. My life is at a deficit without you. Your life is at a deficit without the people of God, so I’m thrilled that we will be able to be together again at a greater capacity.
Please review the following details and f.a.q.
Where and when are we meeting? At our old stomping grounds, Karns High School. February 5th, we launched into a season of life in our church we are calling Deeper and Wider. A month later, the world as we know it changed. We’re still committed to that vision. We’ve suspended our move to Pellissippi State Community College indefinitely. State colleges have restrictions currently in place for outside groups that don’t allow us to gather there at this time. However, Knox County Schools has been gracious to allow us to return to our Sunday home of five years, Karns High School. Worship gatherings will begin at 10AM and last approximately 1 hour.
What will the worship gathering be like? Hospitality, worship, and teaching will look very familiar. At the same time, we’re going to employ “common sense” guidelines to be responsible in preventing any potential virus spread, and respect the well being of those around us. The auditorium seating will be adjusted to allow social distance seating by households. We won’t be providing coffee and refreshments, but you are welcome to bring yours.
Will there be Fellowship Kids Ministry Environments? Not yet. We will be providing individually wrapped Family Worship Packets each week, in addition to providing our disciple-making resources and kids worship online to use during the week. We’re looking at making some family friendly options available for those of you with small children.
Will be need to RSVP? Yes. To help our team prepare family seating and determine family worship packets needed, each individual or family must RSVP. Once we have a few weeks under our belt, we will phase out the RSVP.
Will an offering bag be passed? Offering bags will not be passed during the service. There will be baskets as you exit or you can give online at https://pellissippi.fellowshipknox.org/give
Are masks required? Masks are encouraged for the safety of other guests and staff, but not required.
Are restrooms available? Restrooms will be cleaned and have sanitizing wipes available. Minimize the use of church restrooms by going before you leave home.
